Great resources for teachers!

https://ca.pbslearningmedia.org/ - PBS Learning Media I just started using recently but already love. They have a variety of products to help in many different subjects. They have video clips, interactives, lesson plans, images, and more. I just recently used part of a lesson about Darwin's Galapagos finches to have students start to learn about Natural Selection.

https://betterlesson.com/lesson/600247/using-student-doodles-to-introduce-the-concept-of-evolution-and-natural-selection - This is a link to a lesson plant that I have used for introducing the topic of evolution. You start with a picture of an animal and have the students draw the animal on their paper. After, you walk around and choose one of the students drawings to then project and have the other students draw the picture of their version. After several rounds of doing the same, you discuss with your students after about what this activity has to do with evolution. I adapted the lesson slightly, but all of my students love this activity and always get so disappointed when I do not choose their drawing.

Build a Membrane- This resource is a lesson that I created to help students understand the components of a cell membrane. Students will build their own membrane with craft supplies that I have on hand. The students get creative figuring out what supplies to use and how to use them since I have a limited supply of each item.
